when people accuse us or try to hurt us

Ellen sent me This Thing (I can’t call it a poem). It’s called anyway.  I’m going to send it with this letter. It is what i knew to say when people accuse us or try to hurt us.

Brent Brents 4-7-12

Anyway

People are unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered.

Love them anyway

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.

Do good anyway

If you are successful, you win false friends and true enemies.

Succeed anyway.

The good you do will be forgotten tomorrow

Do good anyway

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable

Be honest and frank anyway

What you spent years building may be destroyed overnight.

Build Anyway

People really need help but may attack you if you help them

Help people anyway

Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth

Give the world the best you’ve got anyway

like a cat sees the lame mouse: predatory instinct

You ever see someone at a stoplight and wonder what is their life like. I still watch people you know. Listen to their petty complaints and insults about coworkers one day and play buddy buddy with them on another. I see the ones who are insecure, uncomfortable in their own skin. The ones who genuinely fear us. Others who think this job is all about who has the power. The ones who are just here for their eight hours and some overtime if they can get it.

It’s sad to see them. Not because of who they are or even the condition of their lives. But because i still see them like a cat sees the lame mouse. It’s predatory instinct so deeply embeded in me, it makes me sick about myself. I want to do it. Not to do as i used to, but honestly i get bored and i get a kick out of reading people.

Inmates are easy and i hear them and observe their actions 24/7. But all the others I have limited enteractions with. I may catch only little thirty second snippets of conversations. But i read people, only now it’s for amuzement. Some of it is for self preservation.

hand cuffed behind the back

Did i tell you i fell on the way up the stairs  yesterday afternoon? No I guess Not. My left knee and shin took 90% of the Damage, my Right ankle and Shoulder the rest. It sucks being hand cuffed behind the back when your navigating the stairs in cheapass shoes that won’t stay on  your feet because they’re to big.

drive bye shootings

You Know Somedays Amy i get so sick of hearing these guys. I used to be just like alot of them. Talking shit about women, drugs and violence. Bragging of my Conquests. It gets so so sick and depraved. I must know a hundred names for pussy. I’ve heard a million lies about conquests, encluding my own. I hate sitting here listening to the guys talk about their drive bye shootings. (I really hate people who do drive byes). To many innocents get gunned down.

Another good guy bites the dust

Note from Amy: In this post, Brent Brents is referring to former Arapahoe County Sheriff Patrick Sullivan, who was arrested last year on charges that he was giving meth to men he had bonded out of jail in exchange for sex. Sullivan was sentenced this month  to 30 days in jail, two years of probation and a fine of $1,100 after he pleaded guilty to felony possession of methamphetamine and soliciting for prostitution, a misdemeanor.

So Cheif Sullivan got outted. I wonder how it feels to go from sheriff to inmate. Ah well Another good guy bites the dust. It is a cruel cruel world.

Aliens and zombies

Yes Aliens and zombies are cool to watch, but Even though I’ve been labeled a Monster doesn’t mean I want to be seen as a leg draging spiny tailed alien zombie that humps its victims before it eats them.

Hey thank you for the books, I look forward to the surprise. The books are like Halloween Candy for me. They taste good mentaly.

two kinds of a dogs life

Note from Amy: “Chico” is one of my dogs.

Poor Chico. Gettin old sucks. I sympathize with him. Do you think they (Dogs) have a concept of age and time like we do? I heard an old homeless guy one time say he’d like to lead a dogs life. Ya know sometimes i feel like the dog in a kennel. A No Kill one. Every now and then Someone pets me. I get fed regularly. I think there are two kinds of a dogs life. The good life and death, and the Not so good.

Chico has a good one.

good let him go insane

I hate days like today. My mind slips into the Stay Sane Mode. I laugh and gigle iradicly and unpredictably. I’m so tired of the same old routine day in day out. Some days it’s just easier to let myself laugh at the state of my world. I know those who are critics would say good let him go insane. The old vengance vs. Justice thing.

Nancy Grace

Nancy Grace and others like her. I can appreciate bringing attention to violent crime. But i get so pissed off with her and others like her. She is so Antagonistic. And she’s a fame Dame. She doesn’t seem to get that her platform is something to be thankful for. And if she really was so outraged she would use her platform for more than the gum flapping she does everyday. If she’s so pro victim then be humble. Quietly hire investigators to help victims families find clues to help solve the crimes, or find the missing. She’s getting rich for being antagonistic, loud and unproductive. Unless we call pissing off the authorities, taking advantage of grieving families and victims productive.

If she were truly outraged like she acts on her show, she wouldn’t be acting that way. She should be pro active. Do things that aren’t in front of the camera lens.
